Hey! So I have lots to fill y'all in on after Wednesday's events!  

First, I got a call from my label telling me that Glen Templeton and his band, The Full Throttle Band (who was supposed to play for me last Wednesday night) weren't going to make it to the show! Sadly, their bus broke down somewhere in Nebraska :( I miss seeing all those guys, so of course I was super bummed. Not just because I had no band, but I haven't seen the guys in a month! 

Lucky for me, a good friend of Glen, his producer in fact, Mark Lambert was able to find me a band last minute! The Marty McDaniels band!  Let me tell ya something, these guys had only had my music for a few hours at MOST before we were supposed to go on... but they ROCKED IT! I was sooo impressed. Nashville is full of talented musicians. So THANKS to Mark Lambert & The Marty McDaniels Band for helpin' a girl out! I appreciate it sooo much! My acoustic player for the night, Bryan Downing, also helped blow the roof off Cadillac Ranch!... And of course, the killer BGVs from Vickie Raye made the band complete! Thanks Everyone! I had the BEST night!  I still can't stop smiling from ear to ear! Thanks Mom for being there!!! I LOVE YOU!

Like I was saying in my last blog, I got to attend the CMT Awards! That was pretty killer! So I had my wristband to get in and waited for about 2 hrs. to get thru the doors! I almost passed out from heat stroke! LOL the sun was Brutal @ 95*.... but anyway, I saw all the celebs up close and some of the performances blew me away!  Even though I had to leave early to make it to my own show, I still got to see Keith Urban's performance of my FAV song off his Get Closer album, Long Hot Summer. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

A special shout-out to Officer Trip of the Nashville Metro Police Dept. for making sure I made it from Bridgestone Arena (where the CMT Awards took place) to Cadillac Ranch... being sure to keep all the 'crazies' away. haha!!!

Lastly, I just hung up the phone with my best friend, Schnee' ... she said she wanted to call me first because she wanted ME to be the first to know that SHE'S ENGAGED!!!!!! To a totally fab guy, Ken. I'm SO Happy for you two! Love you both and can't wait for the planning to start :) Even though I'm miles away, I wanna know allll the deets every step of the way! HaHa
